The bird with a cherry

Female

Female. An unaccountable wish has whispered to make the image of a female face looking to a light silhouette of an unclear living being. It probably was inside and finally escaped… I like mysticism.

Technique: acrylic, cardboard, painting

Year: 2010

Dandelions

Dandelions. Probably a lot of people associate a dandelion fluff with tenderness, easiness and fragility. It‘s not interesting for me, that‘s too simple. I see a dandelion fluff as a robotized flying object which can hide the part of itself and show its weird part at the same time.

Dimensions: 40×100 cm

Technique: acrylic, cardboard, painting

Year: 2010

Sold.

Flower

I saw a flower blossom in my dream,- it was so weird as if it was woven from metal tines and restrained with metal rivets. Shiver has run through my body… No, I think you need company. And a ladybird has appeared from nothing.

Dimensions: 30×30 cm

Technique: acrylic, cardboard, painting

Year: 2010

UFO

UFO. The idea was inspired by an old plate which reminds a flying object in its shape. I always wanted to create a machine that reminds an alien spaceship which is most usually painted by the ones that ever saw them. I am not sure if UFO is a reality or a fruit of imagination. I am trying to look at it with humour and depict it as one of the characters of cartoons. Airplane is good thing, when you want to visit the planet.

Parts used:

  • Corps is made of the aluminium plate, the part of turbine and a luminaire hood;
  • Legs are made of curved tubes of the lamp, sewer thimble and springs;
  • A propeller is made of three tea spoons and furniture handle;
  • An opening mechanism is a garlic crushing tool.

Dimensions: 32×22 cm

Year: 2015

Sold.

A royal penguin

Royal penguin. That was a long time ago that I started thinking about creating a penguin. For me personally they are so funny but graceful and elegant at the same time. A royal one attracted my eye. It appeared the most suitable to actualize the ides for me. The idea was born while flipping through an old motorcycle lamp corpus in my hands. That was the main part of its body, everything else was born impromptu. I didn’t try to accurately copy the body proportions, I wanted to make it funny as if it was a twill or a character of an animated movie. My imagination came true… The royal penguin respectably stands on the iceberg, looks into a very distance as if it exactly knows where to drill a hole in the ice.

Parts used:

  • A head is the part of a water mixer, aluminium spoons;
  • A body – the corps of the lamps of a motorcycle and a lorry;
  • Legs – marine lighting lamp camps, shelf brackets;
  • A tail – the spoons made of aluminium;
  • An iceberg – casting of a transparent resin composition;
  • An ice drilling machine – a ceramic tile drill hand tool.

Dimensions: 25 x 24 x 34 cm.

Year: 2016

Sold.

Space pilot

Space pilot. The main detail of this work which is my newest work is a motorcycle engine cover. Its shape stimulated me to create an astronaut which flies in a vacuum. I have used Swarovski crystals to create a starry sky. They seem to burn in a black background of the sky. The planet that I invented fills in the space of the picture and an space pilot is moving exactly the direction of this planet.

Parts used:

  • A body is a motorcycle engine cover;
  • Legs – aluminium airflow peaks, the part of an old flashlight housing;
  • A glass hood – a ship signal lamp;
  • A sky – a black velvet with Swarovski crystals.

Dimensions: 68×68 cm

Year: 2017

Sold.
